On 19 August, 2026, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Immigration of Antigua and Barbuda, Sharon Stevens, Deputy Permanent Secretary Karen Cabrall, and over 10 interns from the Ministry visited the Chinese Embassy to have an exchange session with the diplomats.

In his remark, Charge d’Affaires Zhang Peng stated that under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy and the strategic direction of the leaders of both countries, the relationship between China and Antigua and Barbuda has enjoyed healthy and stable development, with fruitful results being achieved in various fields of exchanges and cooperation. The Chinese Embassy will continue to strengthen cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Antigua and Barbuda to jointly deepen and consolidate bilateral relationship, and make greater contributions to the five programs to build a China-LAC community with a shared future.

During the exchange session, the Embassy diplomats  introduced China's foreign policy, China-A&B cooperation, etc., with friendly interactions with the Antiguan and Barbudan side.
