On 21 July, 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Antigua and Barbuda hosted an Open House Day event for children from the Summer Camp. H. E. Ambassador Jiang Wei, and Chief of Staff of the Office of the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Ambassador Sir Lionel Hurst, and more than 120 campers and camp leaders took part in the event.

Ambassador Jiang briefed the children on the development of China-Antigua and Barbuda relations and practical cooperation outcomes. She encouraged the children to cherish this opportunity for cultural exchange, actively explore the charm of Chinese culture, and strive to become “little ambassadors” carrying forward China-Antigua and Barbuda friendship.
The event filled the day with laughter and excitement. The campers watched cultural documentaries, learned martial arts and Chinese characters, and enthusiastically took part in calligraphy, paper folding, Tai-Chi, table tennis and shuttlecock kicking. Many wrote messages on the message board reading “I love China” and “I love Antigua and Barbuda”.
