On December 2, the Chinese Embassy in Antigua and Barbuda held a safety work symposium for Chinese enterprises operating in the country, H.E. Ambassador Jiang Wei attended and delivered a speech , Ms. Chang Yun, director of the embassy’s economic and commercial affairs, presided over the meeting. 

Ambassador Jiang listened to the reports of enterprises on operational development and safety management, acknowledged their solid achievements in steadily advancing construction and actively expanding cooperation with Antigua and Barbuda, and emphasized oversea Chinese enterprises must prioritize safety risk prevention, remain vigilant about safety at all times, strictly comply with laws and regulations in their operations. 

Ambassador Jiang also encouraged Chinese enterprises in Antigua and Barbuda to enhance information sharing and experience exchange, exploring mutually beneficial cooperation models, jointly improve international competitiveness, actively fulfill social responsibilities and uphold a positive image of Chinese enterprises.    

The enterprises expressed their commitment to further strengthening security measures, raising awareness of risk prevention and control, rigorously preventing all types of safety incidents, and fully promoting high-quality development of pragmatic cooperation between China and Antigua and Barbuda.
