On November 24, 2025, Her Excellency Jiang Wei, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Antigua and Barbuda, paid a courtesy call on Hon. E.P. Chet Greene, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Barbuda Affairs of Antigua and Barbuda. The two sides exchanged views on China-Antigua and Barbuda relations and issues of mutual interest.

Minister Greene noted that China is widely recognized as Antigua and Barbuda’s leading development partner, with cooperation spanning education, infrastructure, economic development, health care, housing, and public administration. He said that the Government of Antigua and Barbuda looks forward to continued cooperation with the Government of the People’s Republic of China and reaffirmed its commitment to a future built on partnership, shared prosperity, and mutual respect.
