On August 12th, 2010, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda the Honourable Dr. W Baldwin Spencer sent a message of condolences to Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, following the mudslides early Sunday morning in Zhouqu County of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Gansu Province.
In the message he expressed his confidence that "the togetherness and resilience of the your people combined with your Government's determination" will result in "Zhouqu County returning to normalcy in the shortest possible time" as well as "the heartful sympathies "to the Chinese people, particularly to families of victims in the mudslides.
