Notification for the effective implementation of the Agreement between China and Antigua and Barbuda on Mutual Visa Exemption

The Agreement between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of Antigua and Barbuda on Mutual Visa Exemption will enter into force on May 11, 2024.

According to the agreement, citizens of the People’s Republic of China, holding valid diplomatic, service passports, passports for public affairs or ordinary passports of the People’s Republic of China, and citizens of Antigua and Barbuda, holding valid diplomatic, official passports or ordinary passports of Antigua and Barbuda, shall be exempted from visa requirements for entry into, exit from or transit through the territory of the other Contracting Party, for a single stay not exceeding thirty (30) days within a period not exceeding ninety(90) days in any 180-day-period.

Citizens of either Contracting Party who intend to stay in the territory of the other Contracting Party for a period of more than thirty (30) days or to study, reside, engage in employment, media activities or other activities there which shall be approved in advance by the other Contracting Party’s competent authorities, shall apply for the visa before entering the territory of the other Contracting Party.
